VOLUNTEER

Time to give something back?

Want to join a very special group of like minded individuals?

Enjoy a great time and not afraid of a bit of work?

Then the Family Centre Support Crew is for you.

YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN OUR EVENTS VOLUNTEER SUPPORT CREW

If you would like to do your bit for the kids but have a problem with being away from home for the week of the mountain bike event in November, please be advised that participation in the actual event is not a compulsory component for becoming a member of our Support Crew.

You can participate in all of the design, planning and pre event logistics, without having to be away from Perth whilst this or any of our events are on.

You do not need Mountain Biking experience to participate – just a desire to assist in this worthy cause.

In addition to those volunteers who join to be a part of the general design, planning and administration crew, we will also require Support Crew members to carry out specific duties prior to and during the event.

Our volunteer positions include:

Medical Crew.

Join Dr Ainslie Waddell in keeping our participants healthy. Positions available for Paramedic, Nurse, Physio, Massage Therapists.

Catering Crew.

Our Chef Dave Stewart is seeking assistance from energetic individuals as Cooks, and General Hands (Jack of all trades).

Entertainment / Hospitality Crew.

Led by Kevin Anderson, the team needs general hands to help set up for evening functions.

Track Support Crew.

Team Leader Dale Froby has a large team of “on course” support crew members. Three teams comprising five riders in each team are required to carry out Scout, Mid Field and Sweep coverage of the daily course. (Riding in relay style.)

Additional crew are also required to conduct Checkpoint / Feed Stations. (By vehicle no riding involved.)

General Hands.

Persons with some free time who are willing to provide general support in the areas of routine cleaning and overall presentation of building and the equipment housed at event headquarters will be very welcome to join the crew.

We are looking for passionate and committed volunteers to become part of the Telethon MTB Team Challenge family. If you enjoy fun times, great camaraderie and a real sense of achievement through a positive experience, then don’t hesitate contact us today to find out how you can help.
